TheNewYorkTimesのPaul Krugmanによるコラム"Osborne and the Stooges"の中に以下の一文がありました。

"Political scientists tell us that voters are myopic, that they judge leaders based on economic growth in the year or so before an election, not on overall performance in office"
「政治学者たちは有権者は盲目だと言う。有権者は政府の全体的なパフォーマンスではなくて、選挙の前年度かそこらの経済成長でリーダーを判断すると、政治学者たちは言う」
