ただ、
Octopusesでも問題無いです。

Grammaristというサイトによれば、
"octopus"の語源はラテン語ではなくギリシャ語なので、理屈で言えば"octopi"ではなく"octopodes"になるべきとのことです。

以下のようにTelegraph, Sydney Morning Herald, New York Timesの有名な新聞社は"octopuses"を使っています。
